In a traditional clinic setting, patients are often fighting against a finite number of visits approved by insurances and they may not be making improvements fast enough to justify care. So despite the effort they’re putting in, they still get discharged from therapy. After years of working in this system, the frustrations of working within these constraints have led me to envision a clinic where care isn’t determined by an outside source but rather by the individuals involved.
The foundation to all treatments I provide is rooted in education and understanding. When patients learn about their condition and how to treat it, understand the treatment plan, and gain the knowledge to implement changes outside of the clinic setting, they are set up for long term success. Since so much of therapy is what is completed outside the clinic setting, I try to empower my patients to take the reins in their recovery.
I enjoy trying new bubble tea shops around town, hiking, latin ballroom dancing, climbing, cooking, and caring for all my indoor plants especially during our dark winter months…
